🏛️ 1. Monte Albán – The City Above the Clouds

Our adventure begins at the majestic archaeological site of Monte Albán, one of the most important urban centers of the Zapotec civilization.

We will explore its impressive Main Plaza, temples, basement, and ceremonial platforms while uncovering the secrets of this ancient pre-Hispanic capital.

The visit includes time to enjoy panoramic views of the Oaxaca Valley and to learn more about its history at the site museum.

🎨 2. San Antonio Arrazola – Awakening of Imagination

We continue to this picturesque village, world-renowned for its handcrafted alebrijes made from copal wood (wood carvings).

Here, you will meet master artisans who transform wood into vibrant, fantastical figures full of color and symbolism—an expression of Oaxaca’s rich cultural spirit.

🥃 3. Ancestral Mezcal Experience – Ñumana

In Arrazola, we make a special stop to discover the traditional process of ancestral mezcal production.

You will learn about:

Artisanal distillation methods

Different types of agave

Techniques passed down through generations

The experience includes a guided tasting, allowing you to explore the unique aromas and flavors of this iconic Oaxacan spirit.

Our final stop is San Bartolo Coyotepec, famous for its extraordinary black clay pottery.

You will witness the artisanal process where skilled hands transform clay into elegant pieces with a distinctive metallic shine—true works of art.
